About OCHA

The Oregon Chinese Hoop Alliance (OCHA) was established as an Oregon 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2023 (EIN: 92-3969993). OCHA's mission is to foster friendly relations among the Asian community in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest through basketball, sports, entertainment, and educational activities. OCHA operates with a board of directors and an organizing committee. All program revenues and donations are committed 100% to the operation of the programs. The founding and current board of directors consists of Xiaojiao Xu, Erzhuo Che, Yuan Liu, and Longyi Chen, who are responsible for the overall organization and management. The volunteer-based organizing committee comprises members from diverse backgrounds and industries who support OCHA's events, projects, and programs.

OCHA's main programs include:

  • Weekly full-court and half-court drop-ins and children's playground

  • Weekly Basketball Skill Clinic for young athletes from K-to-Grade 3

  • Annual OCHA Asian Lunar New Year Celebration

  • Asian Family centered Open-house and Gathering

  • International basketball sports, cultural, educational, and entertainment exchanges

OCHA's programs welcome basketball enthusiasts, friends, and families from all genders, ages, races, and skill levels to participate. OCHA strives to create welcoming and healthy basketball activities for participants.
